Oh, he's on Twitter, which reminds me to remind you, i'm on it now too - (or Twater as Charlie calls it) but I did one tweet yesterday and that wasn't even true, anyway twitter/twater me....infact i've just told everyone (all 4 followers) that I set up a business account yesterday at the Bank Of America, and I did, with Lulu, Nique's babe.
It was so so easy, I get my very own debit card (blue one) and hopefully i'll have money in it very very soon.
I took some sneaky shots of my class last week, when I really should have been listening and taking more notes.
It was very ermmm, interesting. Different. We had to do an elevator speech. A what? Yep, stand up and talk about YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS for one minute, don't thinnnk so, but of course, I'm a grown up, so I had to do it. It felt like I was ambused, which I was and I stumbled my way through 30 seconds of saying ummmm, arhhhhhh, I'm Sarah, from England and ermmmm i want to set up a business in vintage wedding dresses..ummm, i think...went completely bright red and sat down in a fluster. Failed.
After class I ambushed (turned it round this time) Kami - the lady leader of the class and told of my undying embarrassment of the elevator speech and also about my other business adventure - YO VINTAGE! that is sort of up and running. She advised me to focus on Yo and stop with this one for now, 'whatever you learn from Yo Vintage you can apply to your next business' she's right god damn it.
So i'm putting this (ATWAB) to bed for a bit, no more all things beautiful and more Yo for now. I really want to do vintage wedding dresses, but think the lady had a point. The whole reason am doing Yo Vintage is to fund this, so vision for next year bridal boutique, this year yo vintage online boutique (and mayyyybeeeee I can sell vintage weddding dresses online).
NOOOOOOO,
ReplyDeleteI was just getting into your elevator talk and you tell me you are going to stop, AND instead you are are going to twatter??? NOOOOO can't you twatter on this? In proper formed paragraphs with sentences and everything... I mean really who wants to know, 'got my business card bent over and farted.' I need to know more, not just random statments about your life....
You have to keep this alive, keep in mind this is what you want to do, keep it as a once a week, once a month blog. Don't forget about it, then when you do finally get around to it, you already have the business cards and format etc....
This blog is soo good, don't stop now!
