I advertised for a model.
Wanted - someone with long hair, slim, confident, over 20 (was thinking Kate Moss). I took a chance on a girl, told her to come over and we'd take it from there. I'm learning.
1. What was I actually doing? A shoot for what?!
2. Always meet the 'model' before she comes over. A model needs to be slim, really slim for clothes to look amazing on them. Nothing really worked. The material didn't work, I didn't have a clue about the light and it was the first time the dresses were tried on. I had to edit the light after on the computer.
3. What is my objective? Arhhhhhhhh.
After playing (it is really), Nique sat me down to have words. 'You're all over the place'. I was, I was trying to do everything at once, but not sure what I was doing, apart from dressing people up and snapping.
We set up an Excel time sheet for me of all my in and outs (obviously more outs) and wrote down my objective - brilliant. Nique is brilliant (she's had her own business for 10 years, amaaazzzing, google her - Dominque Baynes, she's top google and everything!)
Ok:
Own and Run a vintage wedding dress business.
To work towards this..
1. Start with an online boutique. For that I need an inventory, a blog/website, photos.
Good. Hummm.
Nique - practicing with the light (I must learn how to use camera)
2 hour later, another model turned up. She was amazing. Love her. She's more for my other blog, but I asked her to try on some wedding dresses...
Right, so online boutique for starters.
P.S Bought a steamer, absolutely the best $35 i've ever spent, sacking off ironing for good (as I said, more outgoings)
Brilliant... did you not know you were all over the place, that's how you roll... Loving it, and so loving the dresses.
